A Sharp Point of View

| October 12, 2010

Sharps, a “new school” barbershop thought that the age-old term “grooming” sounded both stuffy and boring; a term that seemed out of date and not in-tune with our modern-day hygiene maintenance methods. And while this may be true, it’s hard to bring new meaning to a word that has such an established connotation. And I certainly agree (I always thought “grooming” sounded old; like my grandfather and his aroma of cologne and cigarettes). Sharps decided to put a new spin on sprucing up oneself by referring to “grooming” as “prep”. And while this definition of “prep” couldn’t be farther from “preppy”, Sharps believed that being PREPared in life can make all the difference. With their 1950′s referenced designs and long-standing products, getting “prepped”, even at 7 in the morning, seems like the best part of my day.
