Expect a very interesting evening tonight at Santo’s, complete with spoken word, stand-up, and yes, some actual music, blasting out of the soundsystem. All of this weirdness is courtesy of The Journal of Popular Noise. If you are an uneducated Phillistine, The Journal of Popular Noise is what would result if a super-cool zine and a seven-inch single had a torrid drunken night together and had a bastard. The semi-annual vinyl mag is celebrating its fifth issue. Some of the participating artists, such as Andrew WK performing spoken word and a live set by TV Baby, of the next issue are supplying the sounds.
