GATEKEEPER’S GIZA IN SIX PARTS

| December 13, 2010

Cinematic Brooklyn duo Gatekeeper are known for their operatic and doom-laden industrial synth productions, the type of tenebrous digital scores that might equally soundtrack a giallo horror masterwork or a CGI remake of David Lynch’s Dune. Today marks the release of the prog-rock evangelists’ Giza EP on Merok Records. Leading up to the EP’s release, the band collaborated with prolific effects team Thunder Horse Video on a six-part video series, one for each track. Originally unveiled over the course of a week by 20 Jazz Funk Greats, you can now see the entire series (and, for that matter, hear the EP) here. The first track, “Chains” is shown above. Below, find subsequent videos “Serpent”, “Oracle”, “Mirage”, “Giza” (Blade Redux), and finally, “Storm Column”.

Order Giza from Merok Records.
