Girls have released the second music video from their sensational second LP Father, Son, Holy Ghost (True Panther/Matador) today. It is perhaps the cruelest video to take in on this dreary, drafty Fall day in New York City, where summer existed only a week ago, but it’s a gas nonetheless. Directed by Ivan Shumaker and Girls’ co-pilot Chet JR White, “Honey Bunny” features front man Christopher Owens mugging for the camera, giving his best Michael Jackson swagger out of the top of a convertible in order to seduce a girl (played by his real-life girlfriend Hannah Hunt, of Dominant Legs), who loves him “for all the reasons everyone hates” him.
