SUMMER 2012

| May 9, 2012

Now you can enjoy Brooklyn from the comfort of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The Guggenheim celebrates the City of Churches by hosting an evening of music and the spoken word with its second “It Came From Brooklyn” event. This Friday, the Frank Lloyd Wright rotunda will host Julian Plenti (a solo project of Interpol’s Paul Banks) and Brooklyn-based I’m in You to celebrate the borough’s musical renaissance. Rivka Galchen (Atmospheric Disturbances) and Hampton Fancher, the man who penned the first screenplay of kick ass science fiction masterpiece Blade Runner, join funny-man Eugene Mirman in offering their literary and comedic talents.

It’s worth noting that admission to this event is $45 for non members and $40 for members but does include access to the Kandinsky retrospective. Vive la Brooklyn!
