Jack and Jimbo\'s Bike Shop
If you’re a New York City bicyclist and the brakes on your cruiser need a little love, skip the attitude at the local LES cycling store and head to the West Village, where Jack & Jimbo’s Bike Shop—a spring concept shop from Jack Spade—is currently in full tilt. Just in time for the warming weather, Jack Spade’s Bleecker Street boutique has recruited Jimbo, a lively 71-year-old Brooklyn mechanic, to perform tune-ups and repairs on Fridays and Saturdays. The shop is also stocked with size runs from the upscale Italian cycling line Rapha, including the ultra-chic “Fixed” jacket, an impressive combination of tailored sleekness and weatherproof durability. As an added bonus, if you catch Jimbo in a good mood (which is usually the case), he’ll treat you to one of his infamous riddles. Don’t expect any clues, though, unless you’re planning to leave with one of their choice vintage bikes.

Jack and Jimbo’s Bike Shop is open Friday 12-6 and Saturday 11-6 through the end of June at 400 Bleecker Street in Manhattan.
