
Phillip Lim’s casual and sophisticated collection had just the right amount of flourish to elevate it to being wearable fashion and not just clothes. The presentation featured lounging models inside of what looked like a plywood-floored construction site complete with drywall, the perfect raw setting for his muted yet sensuous clothes. Standout pieces included a mixed-stitch poncho chicly worn over a cotton oxford, a khaki tuxedo shirt, and the trousers with the perfect amount of subtle bagginess.
The pieces were primarily muted blacks and grays, the tableaux ended with a burst of red and blue color with the “scholar” print shirt jacket. Also notable, was that Lim managed to make leather shorts look good, caressing the knee just so. Even paired with a leather T-shirt. Now that takes talent. Continue reading for more images
