Hip hop lost a legend yesterday, when Death Row staple Nate Dogg passed away. Growing up in the ’90s, many of us have a fundamental equation of Nate Dogg’s voice to the aesthetic of west coast rap and RnB, through his many songs and collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Warren G, and Dr. Dre. With over 40 chart singles over the course of his career, his influence might not register as easily as those he collaborated with but is indelible all the same. He passed away in his hometown of Long Beach. Snoop Dogg tweeted:
ALL DOGGS GO TO HEAVEN.
