SUMMER 2012

| May 9, 2012

Spring can be a tough season for the type of menswear designers whose customers are typically children of the night. While Robert Geller is certainly such a designer, his latest Spring collection doesn’t stumble. The show notes talked of using texture and pattern to explore new ways of color blocking, and Geller essentially succeeded—rich and vaguely Victorian hues of purple, red, and amber conveyed a brightening for spring, without casting away Geller’s overall slightly darker aesthetic.
