The name Spurr conjures up the image of a man hardened and leather-skinned- a loner, kicking up dust out on the range. But the Spurr presentation was, in fact, the inverse. Casual, but refined luxury was blatantly on display.
With much help from stylist Andreas Kokkino, whom Simon Spurr must be forever grateful to, the collection was as complete as you can get. The suits really stood out. One particular navy wool 6 button suit looked so good on the model, I had to make a mental note to give my bank account some extra consideration once February rolls around. Another salmon colored ensemble made of a wool-linen blend wasn’t necessarily something I could rock, but the kind of suit you appreciate someone for effortlessly pulling off.
Mr. Spurr further lures in the chic rugged man by throwing in pieces like a very smart tan suede “military jacket,” which was on view half buttoned with nothing but chest beneath, and matched with a great pair of soft jeans.
Overall, a great presentation.
