The Local Firm was founded in Stockholm in 2007 by Richard Huthinson and Alex Nyhage. The brand’s concept is inspired by the German Bauhaus movement, and its school of thought, which combined innovative functionalism and the use of fundamental shapes, colors and materials to create a new and straight forward design code. They’ve been very popular since they started, resulting in four different fashion awards, helping them to open up their first concept shop in Fall of 2010.
This season’s show was about different types of layering—putting on and pulling off different layers in the fastest possible way so as to keep the same four Swedish top models on the runway at all times. (This is reminiscent of something we’ve previously seen, at Helmut Lang.)
This season, the Local Firm reasserts that their client is young, casual, and cool, which is something many people want to be and are always looking for. Check out some more looks from the show after the jump.
