Last night, VMAN favorite The Drums stormed the stage at Webster Hall, performing some of their pop-infused 1960′s inspired hits. With a packed house, Jonathan Pierce lead the Brooklyn-based quartet, hitting the crowd with their up-beat “Best Friend”. As we found out before Pierce belted out his tune, the melancholic-happy-go-lucky jam really is an ode to his “dead best friend”. Regardless of the underlying theme and morbid message, the foursome still managed to have every head rocking out with delight.
