SUMMER 2010

Nathalie Fraser | April 20, 2010

Designer Thomas Engel Hart turned a quiet Marais street into vintage LA for an intimate yet raucous presentation that channeled the city’s punk heritage. Attired in ripped, painted jeans and leather jackets with fringe detailing, his three models were so inspired by their greaser hairdos that they played the part to the full, squatting on the pavement chugging beer, smoking and eating pizza, to Thomas’ delight : « That is so perfect ! » was heard as one of the boys popped another Heineken. Guests also admired the video presentation of the collection directed by photographer Eric Nehr, who admitted the graphic effect was created using a piece of plexiglass recycled from a shoot with actress Charlotte Gainsbourg.
