The curiously-named menswear line Johannes Faktotum is geared up to satiate the appetite of creative-minded sportsmen everywhere with its Spring 2011 collection. Designer Johanna Bloomfield has always had a knack for construction, tailoring, color choice and certainly knitwear, which this season truly doesn’t spend one second disappointing. It’s super tech-y outerwear and overall nautical vibe is a wanna-be sailor’s dream. For this presentation, Bloomfield enlisted the styling mastery of Jason Farrer, who paired looks with Teva’s and vintage Air Jordans; and set designer Christopher Stone’s black sand circles placed beneath the models slowly took on new forms as they were treaded upon and spread about. This is a focused and inspired collection by the relatively young brand, and we look forward to what’s in store.
