“Melinda” is acclaimed French filmmaker and writer Samuel Benchetrit’s quiet, romantic short that is a companion piece to Yves Saint Laurent’s Collection Homme Printemps/Eté 2010. The film, a quiet black and white meditation of what a bored youth will get up to when left to his own devices in his father’s hotel room, was played before the runway show of creative director Stefano Pilati’s well-received collection.
